Introduction
Drop In is a virtual webinar and meeting platform developed using one of the webs most powerful frameworks Django. Setting up a Django application is not hugely complex but you will need some basic knowledge in web server configuration. This guide will describe how to install.
Requirements
Requires Linux Distro for installation with the ability to elevate to root. A basic 1 Gib server (costs around $6) from Digital Ocean should be more than sufficient for moderate use.
- Ubuntu Server 18.04 - 22.10
- A minimum of 512MB -1GB
- NGINX
- Python 3.8 (or above)
- Postgresql
- Root Access
Zip Structure
To help you configure the Event Platform as smoothly as possible we’ve kept the contents of the ZIP file as close as possible to the steps outlined in the instructions instructions.
- Main (DIR)
- event-platform.zip (contains all files and folders ready to be unpacked in a directory on your sever)
- Docs (DIR)
- Extract this directory onto your PC to read the docs offline
