1. About these terms
These terms form an agreement between you and SANITY OS LTD, a private limited company registered in England and Wales under company number 09734818, with its registered office in London, United Kingdom. References to “Sanity OS”, “we”, “us” and “our” mean SANITY OS LTD.
By using this website, purchasing a product or downloading or using our software, you agree to these terms. If you purchase on behalf of an organisation, you confirm that you have authority to bind that organisation.
2. Purchases and digital delivery
Product descriptions, compatibility information, licence type and prices are shown before checkout. Payments are processed securely by Stripe. A successful purchase provides a licence and access to the digital files included with the selected product and platform.
You are responsible for checking system requirements and compatibility before purchase. Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot lawfully be excluded, including applicable consumer rights relating to digital content. Where the law provides a cancellation right, its availability may depend on whether you requested immediate access to the digital content and acknowledged the relevant consequences.
3. Software licences
Our software is licensed, not sold. Unless a product page states otherwise, each purchase grants a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the software for its intended purpose.
Single-user licences
A single-user licence is personal to the named licence holder. It may be used only by that individual and must not be shared, transferred, sublicensed or made available to another person.
Multi-user licences
A multi-user licence may be shared only with authorised users working within one legal organisation. It does not permit use by associated companies, clients, contractors acting for unrelated organisations, separate businesses or members of the public unless we agree otherwise in writing.
Licence keys and download access must be kept secure. The licence owner is responsible for activity carried out using their licence.
4. Prohibited use and redistribution
You must not redistribute our software for any reason. This includes selling, reselling, publishing, uploading, lending, gifting, sublicensing, mirroring, bundling or otherwise supplying the software, installers, licence keys or copies to any unauthorised person or organisation.
You must not copy, reproduce, modify, adapt, translate, create derivative works from, reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, circumvent protections within, extract source code from or duplicate any application or material belonging to Sanity OS. Such conduct is strictly prohibited and may infringe copyright and other applicable laws, except only to the limited extent that applicable law expressly prevents us from restricting a particular act.
You must not use our products unlawfully, interfere with their operation, attempt unauthorised access, remove ownership notices or represent our software as your own.
5. Updates, availability and support
Where lifetime updates are included, this means updates we release for the purchased product during the product’s supported commercial lifetime. It does not guarantee that every requested feature will be added or that the product will remain compatible with every future operating system or third-party service.
We may improve, update or discontinue website features, download methods or software functionality. Support, documentation and demonstrations are provided according to the information shown for the relevant product.
6. Responsibility and liability
You are responsible for maintaining appropriate backups, securing your systems and deciding whether a product is suitable for your requirements. Demonstrations and examples are illustrative and should be evaluated before relying on the software in a production workflow.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, loss of opportunity, loss caused by third-party services or loss arising from use contrary to our documentation. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or applicable statutory consumer rights.
7. Suspension and revocation
We may suspend download access or revoke a licence and associated usage rights where we reasonably believe these terms have been materially breached, including through redistribution, unauthorised sharing, licence abuse, attempted duplication or circumvention of technical controls. Revocation does not limit any other remedy available to us.
Before taking action, we may contact the licence owner where appropriate and may restore access if an issue is resolved to our reasonable satisfaction.
8. General terms
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information. If any provision of these terms is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect. A delay in enforcing a right does not waive that right.
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales will have jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory rights you may have to bring proceedings elsewhere.
